- Learning new notes
- Learning to play in 2 parts - listening and counting
- Learning to sight-read
- Playing mostly well known tunes and traditional melodies
- Singing and playing rounds
- Experimenting with percussion, such as chime bars, to accompany recorders

Intermediate Recorders

- Playing in three or four parts
- Learning more adventurous keys and higher notes
- Experiencing treble,tenor and soprano recorders
- Variety of styles from Delius to Disney
- Branching out into more complicated rhythms and syncopation
- New arrangements, specially for this group, of well-known pieces
- Ages generally 9 to 14 years
- Relaxed and fun atmosphere.

- Learning to hold a musical line
- Extensive repertoire from baroque and classical pieces to modern arrangements of Scott Joplin and Lennon and McCartney
- Playing the full range of recorders to a high standard
- Developing confident musicianship in a friendly atmosphere
- Ages generally 12 upwards

- We try to develop the talents of all our members,including solo opportunities
